Team,

After a long and hard debate on GREAT competition, I would like to announce the following winners for the LFT Academic Achievement Award! All the condidates had some great responses to judge and really made it hard to decide who really stood out. This year since we had some very close races I decided to break the funds up different to reward the great effort I saw in some.

However I would like to announce our two Overall TOP GPA winners for the year:

Senpai Aviraj Sinha - Grammer and Middle School

Sensei Charron Bournes - High School and College

Grammar and Middle School
Aviraj Sinha (Avi) – Memphis 1st place - $450
Stephen Eldridge – Memphis 2nd place -$225
Yashraj Sinha (Yosh) – Memphis 2nd place -$225
Morgan Lumpkin – Memphis 3rd place - $150
Tyrone Stokes – Chicago 3rd place - $150

High School and College
Sensei ‘Charron Bournes - Chicago 1st place - $450
Sensei Timothy Woods - Chicago 2nd place -$225
Sensei Charles Bournes - Chicago 2nd place -$225
Senpai Princess Johnson - Chicago 3rd place -$150
Senpai Sydney Reed - Chicago 3rd place - $150

Since we had the most candidates we had this year and competition was really close we did have a few ties. This allowed everyone to at least get something. The winners were judged accordingly to GPA, Essays, Class Time, Give back, Class fees, Discipline, Fundriasers and Competition. Even though this is a Academic Award is also tied to other achievements, merits and values.

Even though the pot was split up a little different to enable all 10 candidates to get an award keep in mind that this will not always be like this. As more candidates make it we will only award the top 3 unless there are ties like it was this time. Congratulations to all and checks will be given out in Febuary date to be announced. The more we grow our roster and increase our fundraiser the larger our awards will get! So the more you give back again the more you will recieve!!

See you soon and now who wants to take me and Master Williams out to lunch? LOL!

We have made the decision to go to the MWUMAA banquet this Saturday. The cost is $40.00 per person and all funds are due Saturday at class. I have already submitted a head count of 20 for our school so if you didn’t get back to me or if I didn’t know about you I didn’t include you. However, if you still want to go they may still have tickets available on Saturday. I would only recommend it if you placed to receive an award. Here are the names that I had:
